Heavy Weight, Inc. is a woman owned and operated commercial recycling company located in Cheshire, Connecticut.
Founded by John R. Hilzinger in 1971, Heavy Weight has grown and expanded to become a diverse operation able to support all aspects of resource recovery, recycling, and specialized projects. In 2020, leadership responsibility and operation of the company transitioned to the second generation.
Krista H. Ostuno President & CFO
Krista H. Ostuno assumed the role of President and CFO, and John J. Hilzinger took on the role of Vice President and COO. This restructure strengthened the capabilities of the management team and will enable the company to further scale to meet the operational demands of the future.
As a state and nationally certified WBE, Heavy Weight is now further expanding operations and capabilities across the Northeast Region.
